I just came across an interesting and somewhat bothersome article. I always thought of America if not the best place, but one of the top best places to be a Mother. I still do actually, however, this article brought to light some interesting facts that I never considered. It's an interesting read, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. I absolutely hate the US's maternity leave time frames. In the military, a woman only has 6 weeks with her newborn before having to shove him or her off on someone else. In the UK, women get at least 6-8 MONTHS, and in their military, if a woman on maternity leave chooses to not return to work, she can just sign a paper and be done with it. Our American view of proper maternity leave is just ridiculous.
